Muskoka hardwood floors require minimum maintenance to keep their good looks for a lifetime.

 

Here are a few tips:

• At least weekly and when otherwise necessary, vacuum, sweep, or dust mop the floor to remove any loose dust and dirt which can act like sandpaper on your floor. For regular cleaning use the Muskoka Maintenance kit.
• Wipe up dirt and spills immediately.
• Use a doormat to catch the dirt and absorb humidity. Never use a rubber mat. Plastics or Styrofoam should never be in contact with hardwood.
• Use runners and area rugs in high traffic areas.
