Visual Characteristics
• With a perfect combination of white sapwood and reddish to brown heartwood
this grade darkens handsomely over time.
• Sound knots, unlimited in size and amount, slight checks, unlimited mineral
streak (including sound, ingrown bark, and gum pockets) are permitted. Sound
defects are allowed if solid and machined smooth.
• Classic grade is free of shake.

Visual Characteristics
• This grade’s combination of medium to dark heartwood and white
to reddish or olive-colored sapwood creates a very colorful floor, rich in earthy
character.
• The charm of Character Grade works wonderfully to establish an informal
setting and will gradually deepen with age.
• Sound knots, slight checks, naturally occurring gum pockets, unlimited
surface blemishes, and stain are permitted. Sound defects are allowed if solid
and machined smooth.
• Character grade is free of shake.
• Cherry is best suited for areas that experience light traffic.
Color photo matching is a reasonable representation, however it is advised
to base selection on actual product samples.
